Northridge Public School has a longstanding tradition of providing high quality education since its opening in 1964, soon marking its 60th anniversary. The forest has played a significant role in our history, as the school is located next to the beautiful ravine linked to the Thames River.
A major expansion in 2010 and replacement of grass with tarmac led to the loss of five precious 50-year-old shade trees. As a result, our students now lack shade and have limited access to natural spaces in the school yard.
They deserve better.
